Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective date: 26 August 2026
This policy explains how Monograph trials, cancellations and refunds work.
Monograph is operated by Readylog Ltd, trading as Monograph.
Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as Merchant of Record for Monograph subscriptions.
1. Free trial
Monograph Core currently includes a 7-day free trial.
You are not charged the normal subscription price during the free trial.
Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically continue as a paid monthly subscription at the price you agreed to at checkout.
The current standard price is $19.99 USD per month, excluding any taxes that may apply at checkout.
2. Cancelling during your free trial
You may cancel at any time during the trial through the billing/customer portal available from Monograph.
If you cancel before your first paid charge becomes due, you will not be charged the normal subscription renewal price.
3. Cancelling a paid subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
Cancellation prevents the subscription from renewing again.
Unless otherwise stated during cancellation, your access normally continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
There is no contractual cancellation fee.
Cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your Monograph account, drafts, Brain items or other stored content.
4. Standard refund policy
Except where required by law, where the service has not been provided, or where we expressly agree otherwise, subscription fees for a billing period that has already begun are generally non-refundable.
We may consider discretionary refunds where circumstances reasonably justify one, including obvious duplicate charges, billing errors or serious service failures.
Any approved refund will be processed through Polar rather than paid directly by Readylog Ltd.
Polar may also issue refunds in accordance with its own Buyer Terms, payment-network rules and Merchant-of-Record obligations.
5. Your statutory rights
This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer right.
If you are a UK consumer, you may in some circumstances have a statutory right to cancel an online service contract during a 14-day cooling-off period.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, we and Polar will honour it in accordance with applicable law.
If service has already begun during a statutory cancellation period, applicable law may allow a proportionate deduction for service already supplied where the legal requirements for such a deduction have been satisfied.
If those requirements have not been satisfied, we will not use this policy to remove a refund or cancellation right that the law gives you.
Consumers in other countries may have additional mandatory rights under local law.
6. Problems with the service
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, experienced a duplicate payment, or paid for a period in which Monograph was materially unavailable, please contact us.
We will review the circumstances and, where appropriate, work with Polar to correct the charge or issue a refund.
Nothing in this policy affects statutory remedies for services that do not conform to applicable consumer law.
7. How to request a refund
Contact support@usemonograph.com from the email address associated with your Monograph account.
Please include enough information for us to identify the relevant subscription or payment, such as the billing date or Polar order/receipt information.
Do not send full payment-card numbers or other unnecessary financial information.
Refunds, where approved, are returned through the original payment system and may take additional time to appear depending on the payment provider and your bank.
8. Account deletion
Cancelling your subscription does not automatically delete your Monograph account.
If you also want your account and eligible personal data deleted, contact support@usemonograph.com.
Account deletion is handled separately in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any information we are required to retain by law.
